Andarra Romni was born on board one of the space transports owned by her Echani parents company. A trace amount of force gift ran in the family, but it had been many generations since one had been gifted enough to be sent to the Jedi. That is, until Andarra’s undeveloped power caused her to nearly decompress an entire compartment of a bulk freighter.

Andarra found she did not feel at all comfortable growing up at the Jedi Academy. The Jedi philosophy of peace and reflection seemed at odds with her upbringing as an Echani, where combat was seen as a form of expression of self. She also found herself afraid of the powers that she having trouble controlling.

When, as a padawan, she accidentally killed a man she was trying to detain, she decided to quit the order and return home. However her welcome home was soon met with disaster as the freighter her sister, Glory, used to transport her home was attacked by pirates.

Knocked unconscious and overlooked, Andarra woke to discover that several of the passengers had been taken, along with her sister. She tried to track the pirates but the only information she found was that they had targeted the freighter because it was carrying an untrained Jedi they thought would be useful, and took Glory because they thought she was the Jedi. It was likely the kidnap victims were dead now, or worse.

Blamed by her family almost as much as she blamed herself, she chose to return to the Jedi Order and dedicate herself to protecting others. She took the title Neraphim, which meant Fallen One in Echani, to remind herself why she was a Jedi. Hopefully one day she will be able to step out of the shadow of her failure.
